I am Thankful
My last two posts had a lot of negativity. I am turning that around today. Honey-Libra & God’s Child did grateful posts and I just wanted to add to that.
Here are just a few things that I am grateful for:
1) My mom. She is hilarious and so giving. I love that about her and she inspires me to be just as giving.
2) The sun. I love the sun. Even though it was cold this morning the sun was shinning in my window this morning.
3) The dude who held the door open for me as I juggled my bag and my coffee mug looking for my security pass. I am thankful that some dudes realize that holding a door open has nothing to do with feminism and everything to do with common courtesy.
4) My landlord. I told him the sink in my bathroom was leaking and he has it fixed this week!
5) I am thankful for opportunities. The Oldest, is making a life change and moving to Florida. Canada was killing her slowly. I am so happy for her that she is finally taking that next necessary step. I am also thankful that we are already planning Miami Carnival 2007! Lol.
6) MSN Messenger. I am thankful that I get to keep up with my niece. We get to chat almost every night about her day and what she’s been doing.
7) I am thankful for Sunday morning brunches with Red and her hubbie. I love meeting them and talking with about politics, life and everything.
What are you grateful for? I just needed to turn things around and think positive…even if it is only for a day.

I’m thankful that I have a family to hang out with for thanksgiving. Even if they are not all well and getting along, at least we will be together for one day!
Oh – and since I was in Canada for your thanksgiving…you should be down here! Hehehe!
I am thankful for Jesus Christ – someone to lean on when I’m vex and angry. He’s someone who also sends those in my life to lift me up with an encouraging word when I’m feeling bad.
I am thankful for my father, my Daddy -my rock and the only man in my life.
I am thankful for one unique individual for keeping me on my toes and keeps me laughing.
I am thankful for my brothers – I miss them every day.
I am thankful that the city of Toronto exists – how I miss it!
I am thankful for Black men – no other man can compare. Praise God.
I am thankful I am working in the profession I am in. God’s favour shines brightly in my life. It is all because of Him that I’m doing what only people DREAM of doing.
And I’m thankful for you, Miz JJ, for being the cool chica that you are!!! Love ya! (hug)

and i’m working every day to even be thankful for the negative experiences in my life, as they’ve really made me a stronger person.

I’m most thankful for my family. We are so tight. I feel blessed to have them. I’m also thankful that so many of my friends are here with me…we all took the journey to move 2000 miles away from our homes and being together has been our saving grace!

i am grateful for my momma even though she drives me crazy nobody loves like she does.

sometimes that’s all it takes is to give a little thanks.
I am thankful for Gods presence during the trials and tribulations in my life because it is when I am faced with obstacles that I am reminded most of Gods favor. He brings us out of all things because nothing is to great for him to handle.
Yup that’s what I am today…THANKFUL!!!
